Journey Center for Safety and Healing is seeking a full time Grants Coordinator to conduct a full range of activities required to prepare, submit and manager the grants program with government, foundation, and corporate sources.
Position and job type: Full-time, Exempt, Starting salary $44,000 - $46,000 depending on experience
Schedule: Work hours are typically Monday-Friday, occasional evening and weekend hours. Hybrid work schedule available.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Write proposals for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted projects to foundations, corporations, and government sources
Submit timely and accurate reports for all grant funded projects
Research sources of funding
Coordinate with multiple departments to obtain relevant information needed for writing grants
Track progress regarding proposals submitted, awarded, declined, and pending and communicate appropriately
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or experience with grant writing, grant reporting and funding research

Journey Center is seeking a full time Housing Coordinator with our Domestic Violence Housing First Initiative (DVHFI) program. The Housing Coordinator is responsible for oversight of the housing referrals and supportive services. The Housing Coordinator will ensure case management services are delivered to clients.
Position and job type: Full-time, Exempt, Starting annual salary $44,000
Schedule: Work hours are full time Monday-Friday. Occasional non-traditional work hours
Duties include but are not limited to:
Oversee and implement the delivery of the teams’ services and provide guidance as needed
Assign, manage and supervise caseloads
Provide direct supervision of staff
Manage and track documentation, maintenance and termination of client records
Assist in implementing quality assurance measures
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or experience working with survivor services or survivors of domestic violence and/or child abuse required
Experience in non-profit management or providing supervision preferred
Experience working with victims of domestic violence and child abuse preferred
Must have and maintain a valid Ohio driver’s license and appropriate insurance coverage; Must maintain appropriate driving record

Journey Center is seeking a full time Housing Navigator with our Domestic Violence Housing First Initiative (DVHFI) program to work collaboratively with staff to identify housing opportunities for clients. This position will actively seek out, obtain and maintain relationships with landlords. The Housing Navigator provides housing opportunities in Cuyahoga County.
Position and job type: Full-time, Non-Exempt, Starting hourly rate $19.23
Schedule: Work hours are Monday-Friday. Occasional evening due to client/landlord needs
Duties include but are not limited to:
Actively see out new housing opportunities and resources
Develop and maintain relationships with landlords and other housing providers
Maintain accurate documentation; provide documentation of all contacts of housing providers
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (lived experience, academic, professional) is required
Familiar with housing agencies preferred
Must have and maintain a valid Ohio driver’s license and appropriate insurance coverage; Must maintain appropriate driving record

Journey Center is seeking a full-time 2ndshift shelter advocate for our confidential shelter. The Shelter Advocate works to ensure that clients at Journey Center’s Emergency Shelter have a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for them to process their experiences and develop skills to a life free from domestic violence. Under the general supervision of shelter leadership, Shelter Advocate’s provide support, advocacy, and general oversight of shelter operations and client wellbeing while clients are residing at shelter.
Schedule: Work hours are Monday – Friday 3p-11p
Position and job type: Hourly Non-Exempt, starting hourly rate $15.75
Duties include but not limited to:

Journey Center is seeking a full time Therapist to provide individual, group, and telehealth therapy services to adult or child victims of child abuse and/or domestic violence. This is position is office/community based.
Position and job type: Full-time, Exempt, Salary $50,000 - $60,000. Hybrid work available
Schedule: Work hours are Monday – Friday, 10a-6p or 11a-7p
Duties include but not limited to:
Provide mental health services including diagnostic assessments, individual behavioral health therapy, group behavioral health therapy, and telehealth therapy.
Conduct education programs for clients
Provide information, referral and helpline services
Maintain program/case records
Maintain current licensure in the state of Ohio
Understanding developmentally appropriate child and adolescent sexual behavior
Understanding research regarding interventions for child and adolescent sexual activity/behavior
Comfortable discussing ways to teach and respond to sexual behavior
Competence in understanding and responding to developmentally appropriate sexual behavior
Able to promote discussions regarding supportive, collaborative, healthy relationships
Able to engage in professional, supportive and collaborative discussions regarding both appropriate and problematic sexual behavior
Ensure appropriate boundaries are adhered to for education regarding sexuality and healthy sexual behaviors
Required Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling required
Must have LSW or LPC; LISW or LPCC preferred

Journey Center for Safety and Healing (formerly known as Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center) is seeking part time Visitation Monitors for our Safe and Sound Supervised Visitation Center.
Work hours are Friday-Sunday. We are closed major holidays. This position is a continuous need. Hourly rate $15.75
Duties include, but not limited to:
Monitor visits between parents and children
Monitor exchanges of children between parents
Model and teach appropriate parent-child behavior
High School diploma and two years working with youth and families required. Qualified applicants must have a working knowledge of domestic violence and child abuse issues. Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred. Bilingual in Spanish & English a plus.
