Prevention is Possible
Journey Center for Safety and Healing provides services that foster safety and healing for those affected by child abuse and domestic violence; and prevents abuse through education, advocacy, and systemic change.
Providing basic education on topics relating to domestic violence, dating violence, and child abuse is critical to building awareness and addressing these public health crises in our community. Part of that work includes Journey Center’s Prevention and Community Education Program (PACE).
PACE provides professional training, community education, outreach, and referral information to other organizations and individuals in our community that may be working with individuals and families experiencing domestic violence and/or child abuse. This includes: professional trainings, outreach, and educational classes.
Journey Center offers professional trainings in a variety of topics related to domestic violence and child abuse including: Domestic Violence 101, Domestic Violence Advocacy, Domestic Violence for Historically Marginalized Communities, and Child Abuse Trainings. Journey Center strives educate our community to better provide effective support, intervention, and resources to those impacted by abuse.
