Elizabeth's Story
We dated for six months before we got married. The first few months went well. He was kind and supportive. But then he began getting emotionally abusive. He criticized me for everything I did. After he hit me for the first time, he was so apologetic. He swore it would never happen again, and I wanted to believe him. But a few weeks later, he was back at it again. I forgave him a few more times.
